Studio Hire Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
Confirmation: A booking is considered legally confirmed once the Hirer provides written acceptance (email/text) of the quote.
Payment Terms: Full payment is due via bank transfer within [30] days of the shoot date, or immediately for short-notice bookings.
The Same-Day Priority Premium: Bookings made for the same day are subject to a £25.00 Priority Access Fee. This fee covers immediate studio mobilisation and priority scheduling.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows
Because we do not take deposits, the following cancellation schedule is strictly enforced:
7+ days notice: No charge.
48 hours to 7 days notice: 50% of the hire fee is payable.
Less than 48 hours notice / No-show: 100% of the hire fee is payable.
Failure to pay cancellation fees will result in the Hirer being barred from all future bookings.
3. Use of Space & Conflict of Interest
Competitor Policy: To protect our primary photography business, we reserve the right to decline hire requests from direct competitors. The Hirer must accurately disclose the nature of their shoot and the final use of the images at the time of booking.
Third-Party Sessions: The hire rate covers one lead photographer/videographer/producer. "Mini-sessions" or sub-letting the space to multiple third-party photographers is prohibited unless a Commercial Event Rate has been agreed upon.
4. Studio Environment & Heating
Industrial Nature: The Hirer acknowledges that the studio is a 1,000 sq ft block-built industrial space.
5. Damages & Cleanliness
"Leave as Found": The studio must be returned to the state it was found. A Cleaning Fee of £50.00 will be invoiced if the space requires professional cleaning or rubbish removal post-shoot.
Damage Liability: The Hirer is responsible for all damage to the building (including walls and floor) and fixtures. Damage will be billed at full repair/replacement cost.
Backgrounds: Any Colorama (paper) backgrounds soiled or damaged during the hire will be charged at £15.00 per meter.
6. Liability & Insurance
Public Liability: The Hirer is responsible for their own Public Liability insurance for their crew, talent, and equipment.
Personal Property: The Studio is not liable for loss or damage to any equipment or personal belongings brought onto the premises by the Hirer.
7. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
